MHR Friday

I know several people who have a “My Husband Rocks” post on Fridays and Brandon has been campaigning for one for quite some time.
He truly needs to be recognized for what an amazing husband he is. So just to touch on one of the things that makes him my hero:
He has, on several other occasions, today included, gone to the grocery store on his lunch break and brought home a few necessities…just so I don’t have to get out with the kids. And he has even bought an entire bill of groceries, met me in the parking lot and loaded the groceries into my car!  How thoughtful is that?!  Just one of the examples of how he goes above and beyond.

Western Days

Cowboy Jackson had a blast at his school’s Western Days program.  He dresses up as a cowboy EVERY day, so this was a mighty fine time. J was so excited to see all of his friends dressed up too!  And I don’t think stage fright is a problem for him…Yeehaw!

Firsts…

So I started this blog entry last week…I’ll just post some pics

Cameron turned one last week, had his first haircut, and his first birthday party.  I can’t believe my baby is growing so fast!  He has been such a blessing to our family and I thank God for this wonderful first year!

We celebrated my Dad’s birthday last Sunday and got to spend some time with family.  My grandparents were there…both of my dad’s parents and my mom’s mother.  I’m so blessed to still have them in my life…they are all in their mid-80′s!  And Jackson was thrilled to spend the day with his cousin Morgan!  We had a great day and I got to take pictures of a little girl!

Warning: Not For Those With A Weak Stomach

Yum Yum!

Tonight was a proud night for me…Cameron ate his first, entirely self-fed, solid meal…about 5 fresh strawberries and about 15 fresh blueberries, along with lots of ravioli and even some of my lasagna!  And he LOVED it!  Notice how I kept emphazing fresh?  That is do to the fact that Jackson barely eats any fresh fruit.  He prefers it freeze dried or in some sort of light syrup…and I’m determined that one of my children will enjoy fresh fruits and vegetable, like me!  We’ll see how Cameron is doing when he hits about 15 months…and decides to stop eating.  Wish me luck!
